HISTORY

FAMILIES FIRST

improving family life,
knowledge and understanding!

Sisters of Soul (S.O.S) Youth and Family Inc. was established in 1997 by Angela Beal, as a 501 c (3) nonprofit organization. We promote family wellness and positive relationships for “at risk” and disadvantaged children and economically challenged families through education, performing arts, and recreational programs. Over the last decade we have provided education, performing arts, and recreational programs to over 50,000 youth and families in the Inland Empire, United States and abroad.

SOS has supported and worked in conjunction with school districts,  colleges, faith based organizations and family service agencies to successfully carry out our mission. Our alliances and partnerships have allowed us to successfully provide  educational workshops, tutoring, conferences, performing arts, family camps, parenting and life skill retreats, food/clothing distribution and recreational programs. Some programs are held offsite where  we offer our  volunteer services.

SOS Youth and Family Services have provided in the past transitional housing and supportive reunification services to children, youth, and families in the child welfare system since 2006.

Sister of Soul (SOS) Youth and Family Services has assisted over 50,000 children, youth and families which included abused and neglected children.

Sister of Soul (SOS) Youth and Family Services has been very effective providing educational supportive services, career counseling, and coaching.

Sister of Soul (SOS) Youth and Family Services volunteered staff collectively has more than 30 years of experience providing direct service to abuse and neglected children and parents.
